• As the technical leader for the embedded software development team focused on AUTOSAR compliant software, you will provide leadership to global technology teams working onsafety critical and connected device solutions. You will contrubte along with engineering leaders by setting priorities and goals, ensuring the achievement of deliverables and other milestones, collaborations with other teams, establishing a progressive work culture and improving standards in how we deliver for our customers.
• A successful candidate for this role will have prior experience in model based development for embedded systems in Vehicle/Automotive domains with specialty in base software development You are passionate and excited about technology and are able to apply a balance between new technologies and the needs of customers. You are driven, thrive in globally distributed team environments, and possess an energizing leadership style that influences and drives change. You have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and tasks while adapting quickly to changing priorities.
• This role is part of Industrial Sector Software Electronics & Controls group.
• This position is part of a team developing next generation powertrain embedded Software systems. As a key member of the team, you will help define requirements, contribute to definition of electronics hardware design, design embedded system software architecture and algorithm solutions, define test plans and perform validation testing to confirm that system and functional requirements are met. In this role, you will be responsible for working with team members and your engineering manager to estimate development, resources and timing to achieve the desired results.
• You will have the opportunity to mentor and train embedded software engineers and software architects to help grow your overall expertise and you will be expected to train and mentor less experienced engineers. You will work with engineers located in other locations in the U.S., India and China.Champion continuous process improvements to support the Eaton Business Systems like performance evaluation, DFSS, FMEAs.Provides technical leadership for the team to meet its short and long-term goals. Has sphere of influence at the global SwEC group level. Identifies opportunities / connections within the company that enhances embedded systems development and engineering excellence.
• Mentor and coach engineers, technical leaders to share knowledge, tools, resources and experience that will enable his/her staff to keep on top of emerging trends and technical debates to contribute and add value to innovative software,
• Provide leadership to innovate new differentiating products and services. Lead strategic initiatives to improve the timelines and quality of deliverables. Lead innovation events to shape ideas from the team.
• Be results oriented and adaptive in a matrix organization.
• Teach, Mentor and Coach DfX & Agile SCRUM for EIIC engineering community. Drive functional excellence through Continuous improvement using CI methodology.

QualificationsRequirement:

• Required: Bachelor s Degree in Electronics / Electronics and Communication Engineering. Desired: Master s Degree in Electronics / Electronics and Communication Engineering
• Minimum 15-18 years years of embedded systems firmware & controls design experience Minimum 4 years of experience in technical leadership role on software architecture/standards/methodologies
• Extensive years of experience in architecting the embedded products , debugging & issue resolving at system level
• Extensive years of experience in C/C++
• Strong knowledge of Embedded Systems & SDLC
• Experience with Complex Device Drivers & BSW, drivers Boot loaders
• Strong background in memory and resource-constrained real-time embedded environments.
• Led the development and delivery of at least two real-time embedded products.
• Expertise with Controller Area Networks (e.g. SAE-J1939, CANOpen)
• Expertise with Vector tools such as CANape and CANalyzer.
• The ideal candidate would have experience in, or knowledge of automotive drivetrain/powertrain systems and components.
• Experience working with HILS environment like dSPACE, ETAS.
• Demonstrated experience with change management experience
• Knowledge of Matlab and Simulink Stateflow environments.
• Knowledge of various software specification and design tools such as UML.
• Experience with Jazz platform for managing change requests.
• Knowledge of Requirement management tools preferably DOORS.
• Experience with automotive power electronics controls and software.
• Familiar with application software such as motor controls, global charging standards (EN, IEC, SAE, GB / GBT)
• Experience with vehicle components like transmission ECUs etc
