Job Description

What you will be doing:

  • Participate in various design discussions, Sprint Events, understanding epic work
  • Participate in test planning and execution activities
  • Continuously improvising on tests, identify test gaps and come-up with ways to bridge those gaps
  • Interact with various stake-holders to execute on product goals
  • Possess a strong desire for quality and test to break attitude
  • Automation of regression test cases
What skills, experience and education you need as a team member to succeed:
  • Bachelor degree with experience in Computer Science or equivalent Engineering streams
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience in software testing / development / support
  • Hands on experience on installation and configuration of various operating systems (Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, RedHat, SUSE and Windows server family)
  • Experience with setting up test environments for client-server and distributed systems in both UNIX/LINUX (Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, RedHat, SUSE) and Windows environments
  • Strong QA knowledge with experience working on enterprise software products (preferred)
  • Networking, Virtualization, File Systems working knowledge
  • Web UI Testing knowledge
  • Basics of Storage Technology NAS, SAN, Arrays, Filers, etc. will be added advantage
  • Familiarity with scripting and/or programming languages and/or tools such as: Python, Perl, Shell, etc. Experience working on automation project will be an added advantage
  • Experience in identifying scenarios and writing test plans, test cases and execution, test bed creation
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
  • Detect, report, and track software defects
  • Apply Quality Engineering principles throughout the agile product life cycle to identify defect and design flaws
  • Collaborate with the development team to improve the quality of the deliverable and ensure the business needs are met
  • Highly self-motivated, goal orientated, and self-directed
