Job Description

Role & Responsibilities
  • Build ETL pipelines to ingest the data from heterogeneous sources into our system.
  • The job role might also require you to learn new tools and technologies fast, and you should have in-depth database knowledge as well as basic programming and scripting skills.
  • Build efficient and stable data pipelines which can be easily maintained in the future.
  • Work across multiple functional projects to understand data usage and implications for data migration.
  • Work with various project teams to identify, define, collate, document and communicate the data migration requirements.
  • Design, implement, and continuously expand data pipelines by performing extraction, transformation, and loading activities.
  • Gather requirements and business process knowledge to transform the data in a way that s geared towards the needs of end users.
  • Maintain and improve already existing process.
  • Ensure that the data architecture is scalable and maintainable.
  • Work with the business in designing and delivering correct, high quality data.
  • Investigate data to identify potential issues within ETL pipelines, notify end-users and propose adequate solutions
  • Prepare documentation for further reference.

  • SQL knowledge (query performance tuning, index maintenance, etc.) as well as an understanding of database structure.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel Macros and VB.
  • Should possess excellent business and communication skills, and can work with business owners to understand their data.
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology or another computer-based discipline combined equivalent experience and education.
  • 2+ years proven data optimization experience
  • Experience working in multicultural environment preferred.
  • SQL knowledge (query performance tuning, index maintenance, etc.) as well as an understanding of database structure.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel Macros and VB.
  • Should possess excellent business and communication skills, and can work with business owners to understand their data requirements and help them make data-related decisions using ETL knowledge and experience.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Passionate about complex data structures and problem solving.
  • Ability to pick up new data tools and concepts quickly.
  • Well organized, good time management skills.
  • Should possess expertise in the design, creation, management, and business use of large datasets.
  • Ability to work under pressure; establish priorities and deliver to fixed dates.
  • Ability to liaise with other team members to obtain technical support and knowledge.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload with competing demands.
  • Ability to manage logistics of multiple projects; meets deadlines and schedules.
  • Ability to anticipate issues and proactively propose solutions.
  • Ability to work within a multicultural environment.
  • Fluent in location required language(s).
  • Good presentation, interpersonal and communications skills; Able to present ideas and results clearly, effectively and influence client decision making
  • Understanding of IT tools and processes to include impact on travel programs
