Directly partnering with data scientists and a diverse range of cross-functional business partners to ideate, conceptualize, formalize & strategize data driven business use-cases and metrics. Responsible to assemble large, complex data sets, define heuristics algorithms to extract information, develop and translate algorithms into actionable insights that derive measurable business value. The Senior Data Engineer will have end to end ownership to architect, design, develop, test, implement & reverse engineer the data-value chain (data information intelligence actionable insights); while also mentoring junior team members on technical and functional skills.
• Excellent academic background with an Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Software Engineering or related quantitative field.
• 8 years Business Intelligence/Analytics experience encompassing the entire lifecycle from data acquisition, data integration, data modeling, analysis, and reporting.
• Specialized experience with Cloud data platforms: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), others
• Hands-on implementation experience (3 yrs) using Azure Data Lake and Azure Synapse i.e. Pipelines, Synapse-SQL, Synapse -Spark engines, Python, R
• Desired experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.
• Excellent communication skills along-with ability to connect & collaborate with business stakeholders, understand the business processes & objectives, IT applications landscape & integrations
• Aptitude to learn new technical subjects and emerging technologies and articulate their business implications; elevating analytics beyond data reporting and dashboarding to the delivery of actionable insights
• Experienced using leading tools for designing and developing database applications such as SQL, PL-SQL and procedures/functions
• 6 years DWH-BI-Analytics experience architecting, designing & developing data pipelines - data acquisition / ingestion / integration / enrichment / consumption (Reporting, Exploration, Insights).
• Desired understanding of Oracle ERP, CRM, Marketing applications and Oracle RDBMS version 11g or 12 and Unix Shell scripts for high volume data warehouse instances.
