We have exciting growth plans for the Technology Development center and partners (employees). We are looking for bright minds eager to collaborate with overseas counterparts in delivering technology solutions to some of the most complex business problems. We are inviting applications from enthusiastic and dynamic software professionals to be part of Northern s Technology organization. Major Duties

  • Develops or maintains computer programs including designing, coding, testing, debugging, and installation as needed
  • Prepares project phase reports, including requirements, feasibility, definition and design. May also review and validate requirements, definition and design to evaluate production impact and support requirements
  • Consults with partners from systems and other business units regarding new techniques, practices, or technologies in data processing and the impact of proposed and ongoing projects
  • Work with application, infrastructure, vendor, messaging and data teams to identify and resolve support issues.
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations on techniques, practices or technologies that would enhance business needs. Also ensures continuous process improvements
  • Conducts feasibility studies, and defines and designs system requirements for complex data processing projects
  • Participates in strategic planning and long-range direction for technology in the business unit.
  • Acts as the technical or business consultant on project development/production health, new techniques and the implementation of new processes.
  • Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor Analyst level employees
  • Works on projects and learning/refining project or process management skills
  • More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas.
Knowledge/Skills Candidate m ust have: 4+ years of experience of technologies such as PL/SQL with Oracle 12 and Linux.2+ years Crystal report experience, preferably with Crystal Reports 2016 and Business Objects XIR2.2.Financial sector activities would be an advantage.Preferred/ Recommended:Considerable development exposure to Unix/Linux/Windows.Candidate should aware of CI/CD process and tools (Jira, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Nexus, ServiceNow and Release Automation)General RequirementsFluent written & verbal English.Strong analytical, numerical and problem solving skills are required.Experience of analysis, documentation and implementation of critical business solutions, utilizing many technologies, over tight business defined time-scales, using common software development life cycle methodologies is required.Strong understanding of Software Development LifecycleWillingness to explore/learn new technologies and adapt to future development directions.Self-starter and works effectively with minimal directionThe ability to work successfully as part of a team and independently is required.Investment management technologies experience would be an advantage.A proactive and self-motivated attitude is a vital part of this role, as is a flexible approach to work hours.
