Job Description

  • Experience of Design in Core Transport Network.
  • A thorough understanding of transport network design; IP CORE router design; Fibre design, carrier ethernet transmission and aggregator design.
  • Knowledge of Ethernet, SDH/PDH, EoSDH, DWDM, IP-DSLAM, lease lines, Layer 3
  • Traffic Engineering and L2 Traffic Management, TDM and Fibre optical network techniques
  • A strong understanding of IP networks and protocols, including setting up of MPLS paths, addressing schemes and OSPF.
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders, operations center and the planners with on-going projects.
  • Self-driven, time management, multi-tasking, effective communication, Time Flexible
  • Must have experience of design with core transport routers Cisco(ASR series), Alcatel(ARE 7750), Juniper(Nexsus/MX480/960), NCS540
  • Must have experience of DWDM network using Alcatel PSS32 and Huawei OSN1800
  • Must have experience in Routing and Switching, protocols and technologies such as MPLS, L2/L3 VPN, OSPF, Static Routing, IPV4 etc
  • Familiarity on Netcracker(Helix)/Crammer, Mapblaster/Google-Earth, Net config etc. Be able to understand the task workflow and interpretation of drawings/schematics
  • Experience in few Legacy devices is an advantage such as ALU 1662.
