OverviewTeam Overview: TIBCO IT s Custom Software Engineering team is globally distributed across locations in the US, India, and Australia. This team maintains several critical IT systems used within TIBCO and by TIBCOs customers, including Single Sign On and multiple software delivery systems.The team has an open and collaborative team culture with everyone working together to the overall success of the companyRole Overview: We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include conceptualizing UI designs and translating UI/UX designs to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application.You are capable to work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.Working in a dynamic, growing company you will be fully supported and have lots of opportunities for professional and career growth, alongside talented and committed colleagues.What Youll Do

  • Develop new user-facing features
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
  • Collaborate with the Development, QA, and DevOps team members on solution design and implementations
  • Communicate with business stakeholders on UI/UX requirements and proposed designs.
Who You Are
  • You like working with an IT team with diverse technical skills, including folk who dont necessarily understand the intricacies of UI frontend tools and frameworks
  • You can communicate well (spoken and written) with a diverse audience - developers of all levels, product managers, and people who do not have a software development background
  • You have a knack to quickly identify the audience and tailor your message to meet their needs
  • You have a natural inclination to solve business problems by using a pragmatic balance between technology and business processes
  • Passion to learn new technologies, solve problems, and deliver customer-centered solutions that make you proud
  • You have good relationship building skills and motivated to gracefully develop good internal & external relationships
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Good understanding of CSS frameworks like Bootstrap (required) and Foundation (advantageous)
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery and Angular
  • Good understanding of understanding other Javascript frameworks like React and Vue would be an advantage
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
  • Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as SVN and Git
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them
  • 6+ years of enterprise software development experience with at least the recent 4 years specializing in web front end development
  • Experience with building enterprise applications with programming languages like Java and PHP would be an advantage, but not critical
  • Basic understanding of commonly used AWS component for compute, network, and storage would be an advantage
