Sr. Engineer- Systems

Job Description

This position will report to Engineering Manager /Asst. Manager, Systems to the respective manufacturing locations assigned. The primary focus of this position is to develop & establish a small team for Engineering standardisation, Pre-Order and Post Order Engineering activities.

• Develop a small engineering team up to 5 and mentor them on day to day engineering activities.
• On time engineering deliverables to the internal and external customers / associates.
• Engineering KPI, Lead Time, revision control, rejection /rework cost of engineering quality control.

Duties & Responsibilities

Domain:

• Process Equipments Oil & Gas Filters for Turbo Machineries in Gas Compression , Power Generation, Polymer, Mining, Water and General Industries filtration & separation equipment s. Transfer and isolation valves.

Application Engineering (Pre Order):

• Manages subordinate Application Engineers
• Achieves business s annual budget by engineering targets and costs
• Ensure efficient support of GeoMarket and Business Development sales force, in delivering necessary technical specifications, feasibility studies and costing for inquiries
• Ensure on time delivery of technical proposals for process equipments, elements, tools as well as the necessary product documentation
• Coordination of all team members and departments involved in the project, as well as the selected subcontractors
• Calculation of cost price to produce the process equipments, determination with the available pricing tools IC and End User price
• Support development of product sizing and selection tools, as well as development and / or enhancement of standard working procedures

Design / Detail Engineering (Post Order):

• Manages subordinate design engineers
• Achieves business s annual budget by engineering targets and costs
• Ensure on time delivery of technical proposals, manufacturing drawings / BOMs for process equipments, elements, tools as well as the necessary product documentation
• Coordination of the entire process with the other departments involved (application engineering, production, documentation and quality assurance)
• Resolve production non-conformance, quality issues, and RCAs
• Support development of product sizing and selection tools, as well as development and / or Drive CI, standardization, VAVE, and other strategic initiatives

The Individual

Discipline/qualifications

• Graduate in Mechanical / Chemical from reputed university with 10 to 12 years relevant Industrial experience.

Experience

• Knowledge in detailed engineering of Pressure Vessels / Filters/ Piping / mechanical seal support systems or similar fluid control systems products.
• Work experience on Oil & Gas Filtration, Lube Oil Systems, Fuel Gas Conditioning Systems, and Dry Gas Seal Support system, Turbo Machineries and Gas Compression equipment s s will be added advantage for this position.
• Work experience in Pumps and Compressors skids engineering at OEM is added advantage.
• Working knowledge with API-614, API 692, and API 682, ASME / ANSI Piping and pressure vessels standards are essential.
• Commendable knowledge on ASME Section VIII, Division 1, is added merit to the candidate.
• Ability to review and interpret and compliance of project specification, project documentation and compliances from OEM, EPC and End user will be added advantage.
• Hands on experience of using Solid Edge CAD software. Solid Edge-CAD package customization & library creation for 3D part, sub-assemblies & main assemblies, coaching the Design & Drafting engineers on day to day challenges.
