Job Description

DescriptionPosition entails broad ownership of Project Engineering activites such as developing new concepts with good understanding of engieering basic both design and thermal, preparing project schedules and ensuring achievement of project objectives. This position includes coordinating with other groups (design, testing, procurement, quality, etc) to find solutions and get the shared responsibilities completed. This position includes responsibility of preliminary design calculation analysis, verifying design documents to ensure intended funciton of part of assembly is met, priority planning, problem solving, and delivery of quality design outputs Responsibilities

  • Individual Contributor to the project executed
  • Perform Design calculations (thermal, machine design & fluid mechanics) independently
  • Verify functionality/correctness/manufacturability for new design component and product Design
  • Project planning, scheduling and Risk Management of the projects.
  • Coordinate the day today work planning, scheduling, Monitoring of Projects to ensure projects are delivered on time
  • Design of Test fixture and setup to validate the product functionality
  • Coordination with cross Functional Teams - Labs, procurements & manufacturing.

, RequirementsBasic:
  • BE Mechanical, ME/M Tech - Design/ Heat Power
  • Work Experience 8-10 Years
Preferred:
  • Worked on Design / Engineering Department in Product Based companies
  • Experience in compressor technology or any other rotating machines
  • Strong analytical & Design skills - Structural/Thermal Engineering
  • Must have Project Management skills required to handle multiple projects and to coordinate with functions to meet requirements of NPD & Improvement projects
  • Knowledge of design tools DFMEA, DFM&A, VAVE, DOE
  • Must have exposure to manufacturing & ability to corelate manufacturing requirements with design
  • Project Management skills
  • Knowledge of Reliability Engineering, Data Analysis
  • Soft skills: Excellent command over English language both written and verbal, High on Problem Solving & Decision Making, Positive Attitude &Team Player, Creative & Affinity to learn new things
