The role is for a strong all-round Sr. Database developer working as a ODS Technical Lead within the CTO - Ways of Working team,The purpose of this role is to provide a specialist service in the field of Business Intelligence to provide a service to the global change portfolio community. Business intelligence ranges from the identification and extraction/collation of data sets through to the analysis and representation of the data. The role sits within Barclays Functions Management office and will work on HP PPM Data amongst other internal data sources. This role will involve interpreting and translating business analysis and data models to a technical solution within a data warehouse. The individual will need to build tables, data links to other systems, developing ETL scripts and packages and data transformations.What will you be doing o Supporting the product vision to continue to allow the ODS database to be a one stop shop for all change datao Provide technical guidance and leadership to ODS team members.o Work in collaboration with other CTO teams to achieve business objectives.o Developing new table structures and data links to bring in new data sourceso Ensuring all data warehouse tasks run as expected, troubleshooting where necessaryo Maintain documentation to the strategic requirementso Support the development and release cycle s of the warehouse capabilitieso Respond to warehouse relating incidents within agreed SLAo Peer reviews of other BI Developers codeo Create new ETL packages using SSISo Create new reports using SSRSo Performance tune and enhance existing environmento Responding to warehouse related incidentso Provide technical guidance to other team member where requiredWhat we re looking for:o Advanced Transact-SQL triggers, functions etc and Minimum Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R DB skillso Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS, SSRS)o Ability to understand the business context and translate business requirements to technical solutions.o Data and warehouse modelling and ETL design and developmentSkills that will help you in the role:o SQL high standard essentialo Hands-on development in Python, SQL, PL/SQL, HTML, JavaScript, Docker and BI technologies e.g. Tableau, QlikView etco Source Code Management System; ideally BitBucketo Integrated Development Environment, e.g IntelliJ IDEA or PyCharm
