Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience., Oracle Applications Labs (OAL) runs the Oracle software that runs Oracle. OAL is responsible for implementing, running, and improving nearly all of Oracles Enterprise Applications: CRM, HCM, Financials, SCM, you name it. We use Oracles own real-life business requirements as a test bed for innovation. We also ensure that Oracle is always Oracle s best reference for our enterprise applications, and provide the field-facing demo scripts, systems, and know-how to Oracles sales force. The Oracle Store is Oracle s E-Commerce platform for its customers and partners to purchase Oracle s products and services. It is a one stop place for the consumers to create and manage various transactions such as purchase software, hardware, and cloud services, as well as track orders, manage memberships in various Oracle Programs, renew support services, manage cloud subscriptions, and so on. These are modern, intuitive and mobile-friendly/responsive web applications, designed to run on Oracle Database and utilize many cutting edge Oracle technologies to interact with various systems like Oracle E-Business Suite R12, Oracle Fusion, and others.We are looking for a Production Support Analyst to help maintain the Store Platform. In this role, you will primarily assist with the monitoring, debugging, analysis and resolution of the production system issues. Responsibilities:

  • The Support Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the application systems in operation, including tasks related to identifying and troubleshooting application issues and issues resolution or escalation.
  • Monitor tickets, triage issues, collaborate with others, resolve issues as per the established SLA.
  • Perform root cause analysis, management communication and client relationship management. Monitor recurring issues and identify the primary root cause.
  • Monitor production system for proactive quality and performance improvement. Ensure all production changes are made in accordance with life-cycle methodology, risk guidelines, and within System architecture.
  • Maintain technical competence in pl/sql, APEX, Jet, Java, and other tools. Gain in depth Functional knowledge of the application supported and interdependencies.
  • Strong English communication of incident status and resolution plans.
  • Some pager duty and weekend support is required.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Should have 4-8 years of industry experience.
  • Highly skilled in Oracle Database, PL/SQL, Javascript, or Java/J2EE.
  • Experience with SOAP/Rest Webservices & Oracle Application Express (Apex) is preferred.
  • Experience with web application technologies, HTML5, CSS3, XML, JSON, CSS, Javascript is desired.
  • Familiar with using version control systems such as Git, SVN, RCS, or CVS.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced virtual environment that demands co-ordination across time zones.
  • Ideally worked in an Oracle systems environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • BA/BS Degree, in a technology related field.
