Job Description

  • Work with the internal Seagate team to develop a resilient, high performing storage platform.
  • Set up the lab equipment such as network switches, storage systems, servers, etc.
  • Work on provisioning the hardware setups as per the Cloud Storage product architecture.
  • Storage Hardware and Cloud/Network File Storage software integration.
  • Bringing up Openstack/KVM based clustered development environment for 100+ developers and maintain it.
  • SAN and/or storage enclosure knowledge a plus.
About You:
  • Understanding of PXE/TFTPD and CI/CD implementation in support of HA production environment
  • Knowledge of Linux architecture, specifically boot process and SAN and/or storage enclosure
  • Familiarity with at least one configuration management system (puppet, salt, ansible, chef etc)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Your experience includes:
  • Cloud Storage and Network File System configuration
  • High-performance network infrastructure as well as Linux/OS networking tools (ip, route, iptables, etc.)
  • Linux packaging process and systems (deb/rpm or others, rpm is preferable)
  • Redhat kickstart unattended provisioning (preferred) or debian preseed
  • Industry software development processes and practices
  • Shell scripting skills, preferably with sh/bash
  • Python programming
  • Virtualization solutions (e.g. KVM)
