Candidate must have Get it done and Do it Right attitudes while performing the following responsibilities:

  1. Defining functional specifications and providing design information for product enhancements and maintenance where appropriate
  2. Accurately estimating the size and scope of development efforts and completing deliverables on time
  3. Developing and testing product code according to BMC quality standards
  4. Maintaining knowledge of product environments and applicable software technologies
  5. Working closely with the architect, Quality Assurance Reps, technical publications and other team members to trouble shoot/debug features and functions of the MainView for DB2 Management product line.
  6. Build prototypes to achieve product definition and desired design goals
  7. Conduct design and code reviews
This position requires 5+ years of experience designing and implementing mainframe applications and system exits in an IBM z/OS environment. Strong experience in MVS Assembler, DB2 for z/OS, JCL, SDSF and ISPF.
