Job Description

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, develop and maintain next-generation backup and recovery for features on our large scale distributed systems platform
  • Collaborate with product management, other cross-functional leads, and teams on both technical and business strategies to shape the future product roadmap of Data Protection for Cohesity s infinitely scalable platform.
  • Drive accountability for test-driven development, delivery of high-quality features and resilient enterprise-class solutions
  • Lead a culture of team ownership and direct individual and team accountability to continuously improve how they work and achieve results
  • Participating in Agile development scrum ceremonies.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 8 years of backed-end, enterprise software development experience.
  • BS or Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Experience with core technologies including Windows Internals, SMB, Active Directory, VSS, NTFS, file systems is preferred.
  • You have worked on and understand large scale, highly scalable distributed systems.
  • Understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and parallel processing.
  • Expert level programming and debugging skills in C or C or Go.
  • Strong understanding of system performance and scaling.
  • Proven skills to solve complex Experience with debugging, diagnosing, and trouble-shooting complex, production software.
  • Ability to drive tasks to completion and take ownership of projects.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and agile development environment
  • Possess excellent communication and sharp analytical abilities
  • Ability to give technical feedback and drive quality via code reviews
  • Ability to represent operational issues to senior leadership and dive deep into the technical details when required
  • Ability to prioritize in a rapidly changing environment; Set and refine processes, communicate clearly to steer the strongly talented team to deliver a high quality service
  • Experience in building strong, successful technical teams and coaching and mentoring individuals along their career paths
