stsi mechanical engineer in puneSchlumberger-Private Position: STSI Mechanical Engineer (5+ years) EssentialResponsibilities and Duties: Responsible for mechanical design of componentsand assemblies for surface or downhole products, as part of Sustaining or NewProduct Development team Develop and review manufacturable drawings as perstandard modelling and detailing practices using 3D modelling software(Creo/Solidworks), use PLM platform (Windchill) to manage the Product Lifecyle Carry out detailed engineering calculations, evaluate and makerecommendations on design Define testing procedures and coordinate withothers to perform tests; document test results Conduct, participate in andprovide input at design reviews to ensure designs are in accordance toSchlumberger standards and conform to clients requirements Plan, coordinateand manage professional engineering work; this may involve modifying provenapproaches, devise new techniques with continuous improvement approach Provide technical guidance and support to designers, new / junior engineers,project teams and clients Make presentations effectively to technical andmanagement audiences Contribute to design standards and support design re-use (best practices, lessons learnt, design books, standard work instructions,etc.) Author/co-author technical specification documents, reports, papers,articles, patents and presentations Share expertise and expand the informalnetwork throughout the organization: field, research, engineering,manufacturing, other domains and clients Comply with applicable companypolicies, including Personnel, Quality System and Health, Safety & Environmentstandards and procedures Successfully complete required safety training(including but not limited to drugs and alcohol, electrical, emergencyresponse, fire, first aid, health and hygiene, PPE, SIPP, risk reporting, ITsecurity, hazardous materials, driving) Required Skills / Qualifications Recognized Bachelor or Masters degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering work experience Previousexperience using 3D CAD software and PLM/PDM software.
