Job SummaryThe State Direct Tax Analyst role within the newly created Direct Tax Center of Excellence, Pune will focus on critical areas for the successful compliance of state and local tax laws such as: > U.S. State and local income/franchise tax compliance > Data gathering, reconciliation and analysis > Business license and annual report filingsJob ResponsibilitiesThe State and Local Direct Tax function ensures state direct tax compliance is prepared accurately, and filed and paid timely. > Assist with the calculation and preparation of the U.S. state and local income/franchise tax returns > Assist with the calculation and preparation of quarterly estimated payments > Prepare business licenses and annual reports > Perform data gathering, reconciliation and analysis for apportionment factors, state tax adjustments, and property tax return filings > Other projects as assignedQualifications
• CA or CPA with 2+ years of tax experience
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• U.S. tax experience a plus
• Working knowledge of Oracle or SAP a plus
• Possess good oral and written English communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Ability to complete accurate product in a timely manner with limited supervision
