Job Description

Job Purpose Statement

A Team Lead in OMS operations team works in a global operating model. In this role engineer will lead the team to support and manage the highly critical applications and HP tools in production at advance administration, configurations, troubleshooting; used to provide Monitoring, Event Notification, Workflow Automation, design infrastructure and platforms including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities and databases that support our customers and Lines of Business (LOB).

Key Responsibilities

1. A single point of contact for the team to the project stakeholders. Lead on the day to day activities, proactively addressing any issues before they are escalated

2. A subject matter expert in one or more desired critical HP tools. Should have the ability to troubleshoot complex issues of critical tools and should do RCA by coordinating cross the teams for permanent fix

3. Mentor less experienced team members to perform their job efficiently

4. Should have strong analytical skills to identify the automation opportunities, work on them proactively and drive them through development team

5. Should be able to debug and write scripts for automation wherever possible/applicable

6. Should configure and analyze various performance reports of the tools/application to take appropriate actions to improve performance of the tools

7. Should practice ITIL processes; understand SLAs and work on Ticket Volume Reduction.

8. Should handle multiple critical tools at advance administration level like HPSA, HPOO, HPNA, OMi, NNMi, SiteScope, WSUS, MuleSoft, Splunk, etc

Technical Competencies (Experience and Knowledge)

  • Strong Unix / Linux & Windows O/S experience
  • Strong admin knowledge on one tool from - HPSA/ HPOO/ HPNA
  • Strong admin knowledge on any one tool - OMi/ NMMi/ Sitescope
  • Working knowledge on one or more tools from - HPSA/ HPOO/ HPNA
  • Working knowledge on one or more tools from - OMi/ NMMi/ Sitescope
  • Working knowledge on WSUS, MuleSoft
  • ITSM tools - Preferably SNOW but not mandate, Strong knowledge of ITIL practices on Incident, Change, Problem management
  • ITIL certification
  • Scripting knowledge Experience in writing scripts using Python, Shell or Power shell
  • Strong analytical skills to configure and analyze various performance reports of the tools/application to take appropriate actions to improve performance
