Job Description

* Description

Tech Lead- Product Security is responsible for Cyber security assessment of Emerson products across Development Lifecycle. Person is responsible for technical mentoring and coaching of junior resources in team. Person has to assist the manager in driving security program effectively in Organization to ensure cyber security of all the Emerson Products. Person has to work closely with different Business Unit to spread security awareness through imparting trainings wherever required. Person has to demonstrate high level of interpersonal skill and security assessment skill to ensure Emerson product security across organization.

Principal Functional Responsibilities
  • Reviewand govern the overall security architecture of the products
  • Partnerwith architecture and development leaders to develop shared software frameworksto enable consistent application of secure coding best practices across theenterprise
  • Performthreat modeling and code reviews as part of the development lifecycle
  • Alignsecure development lifecycle to industry standards, including Microsoft SDL,OWASP development guides and IEC62443 standard
  • Researchlatest security best practices for device/instrument/IoT, staying current onnew vulnerabilities and threats
  • Coordinateand perform security risk assessments for new products with product team
  • Workwith software developers to identify architectural security weakness andprovide guidance on secure coding and industry best practices
  • Define, update, and deliver softwaresecurity patterns for consumption by software engineers.
  • Develop training modules and imparttraining to developers on security topics
  • Mentor /Coach security team members
* Requirements
  • Experience / Skills
    • MustHave:
      • Strong hands on experiencein design threat modelling.
      • Strong hands onexperience in secure C/C / JAVA / .NET code Review.
      • Strong hands on experiencein Vulnerability Analysis and Research, Penetration Testing and ReverseEngineering for Wireless, embedded, TCP/IP supported products, MobileApplications.
      • Good understanding of security protocols (HTTPS, HSTS,TLS, SSH ).
      • Experience withstatic and dynamic software analysis tools.
      • Possesscollaboration skills and have history of working with internal and externalpartners.
      • Strong analyticalskills and decision-making capabilities with strong leadership traits.
      • Proven verbal andwritten communications skills and ability to learn.
      • A team playerable to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability tocommunicate design rationale and influence others to move toward consensus.
    • Shall Have:
      • Understanding ofcrypto standard and Cloud Architecture and related protocols.
      • Hands onexperience of scripting language (TCL, Perl, Python, Shell, awk, etc.) todevelop tools to be used for research.
      • Knowledge of industrial automation protocols (Modbus, WirelessHART,PROFINET, Ethernet IP and Bluetooth LE)
      • Knowledge ofIEC62443 standard
    • Education
      • Bachelorsor Masters degree in computer science or related field.
      • @9-12 years experience in computer securityrelated field
