Job Description

    Are you excited about playing a key role in keeping UBS competitive in the Big Data Space Do you have a good working knowledge of big data technologies like Cloudera and MicroStrategy Are you at your best when supporting others Do you have proven ability to solve complex application production issues And have a desire to innovate using state-of-the-art automation and monitoring tools We re looking for a Tech Support Specialist to: support big data applications that will eventually migrate to Azure ensure workflows, processes, tooling, and applications meet the highest production quality standards contribute ITIL production expertise to the onboarding of existing and new IT products and services ensure stability and availability of the firms production environment contribute domain knowledge and expertise and technical knowledge and expertise to the management of existing and/or new IT products and services define workarounds for known errors and initiate process improvements assist in planning BCP, patching and other infrastructure related projects contribute to automating manual processes get involved in problem management to identify root causes and ensure issues dont reoccur maintain a knowledge databaseYour teamYou ll be working in the Hosting Services (HS) which provides application support for the UBS Financial Reporting and Analytics suite of applications. You will be located in Pune, India and will be part of a global team that provides follow-the-sun support with other locations in Nashville Tennessee and Zurich Switzerland., a bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field experience with Cloudera and / or MicroStrategy is desirable. Azure knowledge is desirable but not required 8 years hands-on experience with UNIX, SQL and MS Office products experience with monitoring solutions, preferably Netcool, AppDynamics and /or Splunk use of or knowledge of automation tools like Automation Anywhere or IPCenter a plus proficient with tools such as ServiceNow, Confluence, JIRA, and batch scheduling tools like Autosys ability to solve complex issues, good at problem statement analysis and solution design thinking track record of building good relationships with IT stakeholders and business partners working knowledge of Financial Reporting is a plus a solid working knowledge of ITIL
