What you will doAs a Technical Lead PCB design at India Engineer Center, you will help build the platform and the embedded systems that make up the heart of the JCI Controls product line as well as IoT devices. You will work on designing Embedded Hardware Devices that will be used to integrate with the Building Automation units on the current architecture.How you will do itCommunicate within a cross-functional team to understand requirements and initiate proof of concept implementationWorking within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers to design high quality, high speed and low noise analog PCBs by following global engineering team s requirements and processesPlan and responsible for PCB layout review across the IEC team and participate in peer reviews with Global Engineering CentersProvide technical guidance in developing new PCB designs and updating existing designsInteraction with an in-house /external PCB assembly team to deliver boards with a high level of quality and manufacturability on timeResponsible for completing PCB designs by agreed project time, cost, quality and performance requirementsDrives to achieve high standards and actively seeks improvementWork with Electronics engineers to develop and maintain schematic designs using Mentor Graphics ExpeditionWork closely from Electrical and Mechanical aspects to create schematic symbols, PCB mechanical restriction guidelines, PCB component footprints and 3D component models Designing of high speed boards based on JCI guidelines and DFMEA, DFT, DFR & DFM requirementsWork closely with Manufacturing Team to meet DFM, DFT & DFA requirementsImprove technical competencies and skill levels based on project requirements and inputs from Technical LeadsShould have very strong knowledge in HDI board designWhat we look forBE (ECE/EIE/EEE) - minimum 10+ years of experience in Mentor Graphics Xpedition tool Very strong high speed and multilayer layout skills including stack up design, differential pair, impedance control, matched delay, etc Experience in designing Control boards for high volume manufacturingExperience in designing high density boards that incorporate microcontroller, mixed signal circuits and peripherals such as Ethernet, USB, I2C, SPI, DDRx,etcExperience with board layout incorporating RF circuits and antennasSolid knowledge in the board fabrication processShould have very good knowledge about IPC standardsStrong communication skills to interact with colleagues, peers and stakeholders in Global Engineering centersStrong documentation and presentation skills with the confidence and ability to work with senior executivesAble to work efficiently independently as a team member and have the capacity to work on tight deadlines with high efficiencySelf-learner, able to work with autonomy, readiness for foreign/domestic travel for short/long term basisPreferredHands on experience in Mentor Graphics Xpedition toolStrong communication skills and be able to discuss technical topics with individuals and groups with a wide range of technical backgroundsAdditional Information
