Job Description

• Execute granular plans for test phases based on overall project plan to accommodate all tasks involved
• Participate in requirement analysis and conduct risk assessment workshops
• Identify and highlight discrepancies in specifications
• Create dependency matrices/ data matrices as deliverables from analysis/ scrum sessions
• Solutionize problems identified during scrum meetings
• Visualize, Identify and communicate long terms risks with project/ test approach
• Model user scenarios as part of SIT to attain more coverage early on.
• Detailed design for test engineering solutions and verification of this with test team stakeholders and architecture and design authorities
• Test Planning and assisting developers in designing unit tests
• Create & execute complex test ware - estimates, scenarios, cases, data
• Deliver all planned automated testing as part of done , including unit tests for any framework code developed.
• Ensure automation frameworks meet current requirements and coding standards and maintain new & existing automated tests
• Create & maintain mocks / stubs / harness/fakes/virtual services for all testing
• Run exploratory testing
• Defect reporting and tracking
• Support and maintenance for test code and frameworks/test harnesses
• Sharing of re-usable components to test engineering colleagues and other test teams
• Deliver test automation improvement initiatives within the project group.
• Conform to established best practices and any appropriate test automation standards
• Provide guidance to other team members on technology/domain/application queries

What we re looking for:

• Relevant work experience, including development and/or test automation experience with a degree in Computer Science or Applied Computer Science
• Exposure to working in testing projects in a team environment
• Demonstrated expertise in Object Oriented Programming, Software engineering skills with programming/debugging in at least 2-3 scripting or programming languages like C++, Java, HTML, Selenium, Python etc
• Experience in application of version control tools
• Strong technical background with detail driven and excellent problem solving abilities
• Good product and testing acumen
• Expertise in any one of the test automation tools like Selenium, Ranorex, Appium & Seetest using any of the test framework cucumber or testing or any other stable framework
• Expertise in any one of the unit test tools like junit or nunit
• Proven track record for agile, test-driven development, behavior driven development, continuous integration, and automated testing
• Active contributor to open source tools towards Automation / Quality Engineering
• Knowledge of testing terminologies, processes and tools
• Sharing of re-usable components to test engineering colleagues and other test teams
• Deliver test automation improvement initiatives within the project group.
• Conducting demos to the stakeholders for POC using concise and crisp combination of static presentations and dynamic demo executions
• Detailed Userguide creation and setup for automation users
• Conducting user trainings for issue identification and reporting of failures identified through automation
• Support and maintenance for test automation solutions
• Maintenance of skills and knowledge for approved test automation tools and developments in test engineering tools and techniques
• Sharing of re-usable components to test engineering colleagues and other test teams
• Deliver test automation improvement initiatives within the project group.
• Conform to established good practice and any appropriate test automation standards
• Preferably holding test certifications on ISTQB / CSTE / CSQA
