Job Description

*Job Purpose:ISG is seeking to hire a Assistant Test Manager for the QA department with 8 -10 years of experience in CIB, Clients Analytics and Banking CRM . We are looking for a highly motivated Testing professional who is ready to take on the challenges of working in a fast-paced, world class environment and ready to own the quality of mission critical software. The individual will assist in defining the departments Test Governance model and have specific ownership of the functional Testing activities.The individual will partner with development, business and support teams to build an understanding of the varied and complex business functionality supported by the financial systems.Job Background/Context:

  • Possess 8-10 years of techno-functional QA skills
  • Ability to determine and drive test strategy for CIB, Clients Analytics and Banking CRM applications, areas as well as department
  • Expertise in various testing strategies and the ability to apply experience in determining the strategy to problem at hand
  • Ability to technically lead a team and ensure that the team is progressing in the appropriate technical directions
  • For managers, the ability to manage a small to mid-size team with the leadership capabilities used at Citi
  • Ability to partner with all CIB app owners and stakeholders and involve onself in determining strategy, application direction as well as productivity/efficiency (dev and business)
  • Ability to deal with a dynamic environment positively
  • Well versed with SMM MinQA Standards and prior experience to adopt and adapt to the high maturity levels of the stated standards
  • The position is based in Pune, India and is required to review the day to day delivery work, ensuring a robust process implementation, identifying project/program delivery risks and work on risk mitigation.
  • Candidate will work independently and is highly self motivated ho will take ownership and accountability
  • The candidate will work with complex and variable issues with multiple stakeholders across geographies
  • Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources

  • Experience with multiple architecture, technology testing and with complex projects
  • Experience managing resources directly, onshore/offshore and in a matrixed model
  • Experience working in a global team in a vendor dependent model

  • Most of the applications are data processing extenssive. Ability to understand end to end data flow and device testing strategy accordingly is critical
  • End to End Report Testing (Microstrategy, BO etc.) requiring skills to work on complex level SQL
Key Responsibilities:
  • Own Functional and Regression Testing for Corporate and Invement banking, Clients Analytics and Banking CRM
  • Design and implement QA Strategy for group of applications.
  • Participate beyond testing phase across the entire testing life cycle Shift Left and Shift Right
  • Help drive specific productivity improvement initiatives
  • Engage with project stakeholders on a regular basis to help resolve issues and support testing team
  • Drive SMM best practices rollout and enhance the process adherence score for the applications
  • Provide regular testing metrics and management reporting on risks and issues
  • Responsible for selecting/maintaining and integrating the appropriate set of tools, processes and procedures to ensure overall testing efficiency and effectiveness in the operations
  • Identify, recommend, and implement framework, strategies and toolsets to optimize test execution, expand test coverage, and reduce risk
  • Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with Development, Project Management and Users to foster a team environment
  • Produce and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) around the testing performed. Manage best in class service quality and manage SLAs accordingly
  • Lead a continuous process improvement program within the team and at the project level reviewing trends, data, etc- Partner with Technical Project Management in the development of project plans, status communications, and the management of development software solutions
  • Monitor quality risks and escalate, as required. - Provide regular status reporting consistent with established program governance requirements
  • Proactively look for automation opportunities in areas like Web, Data, APIs etc.
  • Mentor and coach team for quick onboarding in application knowledge, Database design, SQLs and overall testing processes
  • As per project need, own/participate/help in product backlog for,
  • Data analysis and POC creation
  • Basic level JAVA/Python skills Database/Datawarehouse automation framework
  • Dynamic in adapting on the go changes across all aspects and perfect balancing between delivery and stretched assignments
  • Engaging team all the time by means of motivations, appreciations, constant constructive feedback
  • Shall able to clone manager w.r.t technical, people management and futuristic vision perspective

, *Skills Required:
  • Minimum 10 year hands-on testing experience in Quality assurance in CIB, Clients Analytics and Banking CRM space
  • Highly process oriented
  • Strong experience in design and development of testing solutions.
  • Ability to strategise data validation solution for strunctured and unstructured data and guide teams as appropriate
  • Strong exposure to banking domain preferably compliance technology
  • Strong familiarity in working within an offshore/Onshore and multi-party delivery model
  • Proficient with test management and defect tracking tools and associated reports, such as TFS
  • Self-motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership and accountability
  • Flexible, hands-on doer , able to cope with changing requirements / time constraints
  • Experience in working on multiple releases in parallel
  • Basic understanding of development model TDD, BDD, DevOps
  • Knowledge of industry standard Testing tools
  • Thorough knowledge of Testing lifecycle and methodologies
  • Hans on experience in writting complex queries, understanding stored procedures
  • Exposure to R programming/API testing/Envirnoment testing/Cloud testing is added advantage
  • Knowledge of basic Unix commands
  • Big Data understanding and knowledge in Hadoop eco system tools like HBase, Hive, MongoDB etc is an advantage
Qualifications:
  • B.Tech. in Computer Science or related fields or equivalent
Competencies:
  • Knowledge of industry standard Testing processes.
  • Self-motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership and accountability.
  • Knowledge of Testing lifecycle and methodologies
  • Experience with Quality Center/Team Foundation Server and other quality tools Exposure to one or more coding language (JAVA, VBA, R etc.), ETL Tools, Reporting Tools, Middleware, with some Development mindset will be an advantage
  • Excellent written and oral communication. Good Negotiator and risk manager
