This team will work on product & technology development related to power conversion systems such as DC-DC, UPS, Inverters, Traction Inverters, required for EV, stationery and avionics domain. Team is expected to have significant interactions with senior leadership & cross functional team to mature projects from ideation to Industrialization. The incumbent shall1) Own the complete testing and validation part of development cycle for products in domains of interest to EATON.2) Come up with test plans starting from unit level to system level, along with necessary qualification criteria for each stage, of testing and validation, define DVP and other key essentials.3) Design and deploy the test benches, for various sub-systems and components of the project, & carry out integration testing of product/project under consideration4) Work with certification agency, to carry out testing as per criteria outlined in the standards of interest.This exciting role offers opportunity to:
• Drive the testing and homologation part of product life cycle, through implementation of test cases & sequences in line with best practices as outlined for domain of interest.
• Based on the project requirements, redefine, repurpose & deploy the test case workflow.
• Work with program managers and other key members, in defining & rolling out the tasks and other key specifics to have first time right scenario for product/project - or task in hand.
• Participate and lead the process simplification, that helps in reduction of time to market, development efforts,
• Contribute to team s technical growth by engaging in technical discussion and mentoring.
• Drives overall system integration & testing activity for product and its integration with system of interest by working with various stakeholders (Internal and External).
Required Skills:
• Ability to decompose Requirements and identify verification & validation methods and solutions;
• Ability to define the testing needs for the products under consideration by mapping homologation / certification requirements to product specification / systems & architectures of interest.
• Ability to plan and coordinate the Engineering Verification Tests (EVT) Design Validation Test (DVT) and Product Validation Tests for multiple products across test sites within Eaton and external partners to achieve desired timelines and within allocated resources
• Able to plan and conduct performance, reliability/durability, investigations as required for the product line.
Qualifications
• Required: Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical Engineering from reputed college. Desired: MTech in Electrical Engineering /system and controls
• 12+ years of extensive experience in development of testing systems and solutions for product/component/system under considerations.
• Proven experience in development of test cases as demanded to have defect free/first time right scenario for product/system under consideration
• Proven experience of various testing methodologies such as HIL/SIL/MIL for defect free product/solution well as handling projects related to testing / homologations worth more than $1 million.
