Art therapist aims to develop the emotional, mental and behavioural aspects of an individuals personality by engaging with, and expressing themselves through, an artistic process.Develop an art-based learning modules and learning tools to enable self awareness in individuals- Conduct information sharing sessions, such as in-service workshops for other professionals, potential client groups, or the general community.- Customize art therapy programs for specific client populations, such as those in schools, nursing homes, wellness centers, prisons, shelters, or hospitals- Design art therapy sessions, treatment plans, case summaries, or programs to meet specific target community objectives- Create a framework for the art format usage and implementation- Build an impact assessment frame work that helps track clients functioning, needs, or progress-Teach art therapy techniques or processes to artists, interns, volunteers, or others- Conduct information sharing sessions, and training sessions for other professionals, potential client groups, or the general communityRequired Skills:Excellent artistic abilities, creativity, imagination and enthusiasmMaturity, patience and a calm, respectful mannerAbility to provide a trusting, open, kindhearted atmosphere that encourages learning and participationA non-judgemental approach and ability to work with people from all walks of lifeA strong knowledge, experience and understanding of the theory and practice of psychotherapy and the role art can play in treatmentQualification Required:Degree in social work/art therapyorPrior experience as an art therapist
