Job Description

Design software applications using HTML, JavaScript, XML, JSP, JAVA, CSS among others. Design and implement front-end business applications while working closely with developers to help generate requirements for backend development. Work with other developers on the implementation of common frameworks and solutions. Work with the development team to support and maintain existing production code in the field and develop and deliver new enhancements. Interact with Quality Assurance personnel during system testing phases of application development. Develop documentation including help text, report samples, and screen samples. Study new technologies and bring fresh ideas that can benefit the project. Stay current on new technologies as they relate to web-based application development. Assume other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Skill Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field. 5 years of software development experience. 3 years professional web application design experience. Strong HTML and JavaScript (AJAX, DOM, JSON) and Java skills CSS experience GIT or source management experience Java, Servlets and JSP/ JSTL experience Knowledge of the Structured Query Language (SQL), relational database principles and JDBC connection technology. Strong Web 2. 0/ RIA knowledge and experience Strong User Interfacing knowledge Database experience (e. g. , MySQL, Oracle) Proficient in analyzing software requirements and documenting technical specifications for web applications / services Experience with the full software development life cycle, including design, testing, deployment, and documentation activities Aptitude for learning and applying programming concepts Abilities: Capable of reasoning and thinking through problems and be able to independently and jointly develop desired solutions. Self-motivated and willing to do what it takes to get the job done. Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to clearly communicate and share solutions with fellow team members. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills not necessarily associated with programming. Committed team player with positive winning attitude. Ability to work within a team and work independently. Ability to read, listens, and understand information presented in various mediums. Meticulous attention to detail is a must. Experience: Expert JavaScript, DOM, JQuery, JSON, Ajax, HTML/ HTML5, CSS/ CSS3, and XML Expert in using development tools such as Eclipse, NetBeans, Visual Studio, and others. Experience with Web 2. 0 UI components and other open source projects. Proven talent for creating fresh, unique and professional designs Passionate about user experience and SaaS site usability Strong understanding of the software development cycle, preferably Agile/ SCRUM A record of successful delivery of software systems as an individual.
