Job Description

    **Role Overview:**As a QA Engineer with 2-3 years of experience, you will be a core member of an Agile development team, responsible for ensuring the end-to-end quality of features. Your role will involve analyzing product requirements, executing manual test cases, conducting various types of testing, contributing to test automation efforts, managing defects, and validating technical processes. Additionally, you will actively participate in Agile ceremonies and focus on release activities initially before transitioning to handling both automation and manual testing concurrently.**Key Responsibilities:**- **Test Design & Execution:** - Analyze product requirements and user stories to develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual test cases and test scenarios. - Perform Functional, System, Integration, and Regression testing on web and mobile applications. - Conduct Exploratory Testing to identify unexpected defects and usability issues.- **Automation Contribution:** - Execute existing automation test suites and analyze results for debugging or defect reporting. - Assist in creating and maintaining basic automation scripts for regression tests under the guidance of Senior SDETs.- **Defect Management:** - Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking systems like JIRA. - Collaborate with developers to reproduce and validate fixes promptly.- **Process & Technical Validation:** - Perform basic API testing using tools like Postman for data validation. - Write and execute simple SQL queries for back-end data validation and database integrity checks. - Actively engage in Agile ceremonies.- **Work Sharing:** - Initially focus on release activities and functional testing for 8-12 months before handling automation and manual testing simultaneously.**Qualification Required:**- **Experience:** 2 to 3 years of dedicated experience in manual software testing.- **Methodology:** Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC, particularly within an Agile/Scrum environment.- **Automation Aptitude:** - Willingness to learn scripting languages quickly like Python, JavaScript, or Java. - Basic familiarity with Test Automation concepts and their importance in a CI/CD pipeline.- **Technical Foundation:** - Working knowledge of SQL for database queries. - Proficiency in API testing concepts and tools like Postman.- **Tools:** Proficiency with at least one Bug Tracking/Defect Management tool (e.g., JIRA).- **Soft Skills:** Attention to detail, proactive quality approach, and excellent communication skills.**About Uplers:**Uplers aims to facilitate a seamless and efficient hiring process for talents seeking contractual onsite opportunities to advance their careers.
