Job Description

    A Senior Accounts Executive for an engineering or manufacturing plant oversees daily financial operations, manages plant-specific costs, and ensures statutory compliance. They handle payroll, reconcile accounts, and support budgeting to optimize manufacturing costs. This role demands strong knowledge of cost accounting, ERP software (like SAP or Tally), and GST/tax regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesCost Accounting & Budgeting: Track and analyze plant manufacturing overheads, raw material costs, and labor expenses. Prepare monthly budgets and variance analyses against actual expenditures.Payables & Receivables: Manage vendor payments, purchase order (PO) matching, and client invoicing. Track outstanding dues to maintain a healthy plant cash flow.Statutory & Tax Compliance: Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with TDS, GST, and corporate tax regulations.Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and profit/loss reports.Auditing & Inventory: Coordinate with internal and external auditors. Reconcile physical inventory with system records to prevent discrepancies.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com); Masters (M.Com) or professional qualifications like CA/ICWA are highly preferred.Experience: 4 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, plant, or production environment.Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and operational familiarity with ERPs (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally).Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and cross-departmental communication skills to work with engineers and plant managers.
