Job Description

    1. Proficient in operating and monitoring furnace equipment used in the casting process.2. Knowledge of different types of furnaces, such as cupola furnaces or electric induction furnaces.3. Understanding of furnace operation principles, including temperature control and heat distribution.4. Ability to follow furnace loading and unloading procedures, ensuring proper placement of molds and materials.5. Knowledge of different types of casting alloys and their specific melting requirements.6. Skilled in measuring and adding alloying materials to achieve desired chemical composition.7. Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures for furnace operation and metal handling.8. Ability to interpret and follow work orders, technical specifications, and quality control requirements.9. Proficient in conducting visual inspections of molten metal and identifying any abnormalities or defects.10. Understanding of metal pouring techniques and the ability to pour molten metal into molds accurately.11. Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot furnace issues and make adjustments as needed.12. Ability to maintain furnace logs and records accurately, documenting production and quality data.13. Knowledge of furnace maintenance and cleaning procedures to ensure optimal performance.14. Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with other personnel in the casting process.15.
