Job Description

    Job Title: Purchase Engineer / Purchase ExecutiveDepartment: Procurement / Purchase Location:Rajkot Experience: 25 yearsJob SummaryThe Purchase Engineer is responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring the timely procurement of quality materials at competitive prices to support production and project requirements.Key Responsibilities
    • Identify and develop qualified suppliers and vendors.
    • Obtain and evaluate quotations based on price, quality, and delivery.
    • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
    • Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
    • Coordinate with production, stores, planning, and quality teams to understand material requirements.
    • Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
    • Resolve supplier issues related to quality, shortages, and delays.
    • Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and documentation.
    • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchases to avoid stock shortages or excess inventory.
    • Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and applicable regulations.
    • Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and vendor performance evaluations.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering (or a relevant degree/diploma).
    • 25 years of experience in procurement or purchasing in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
    • Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and inventory control.
    • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
