Job Description

: Software Test EngineerCompany: GoogleLocation: Bucharest, RomaniaExperience Level: MidExperience driving progress, solving problems, and mentoring more junior team members; deeper expertise and applied knowledge within relevant area.Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in coding, developing test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging.
  • Experience with coding in Python to generate product-specific test plans and execute testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in specialized testing such as production testing, system integration testing, etc.
  • 3 years of experience in coding, developing test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging.
  • 3 years of experience in Python or Java.
  • Experience in test-driven development, debugging, building tools and testing frameworks.

  • Own and define the test framework, test preconditions, and other test control and report functions to enable others to test functionality.
  • Develop scalable and reliable automated tests and frameworks at the component and integration testing levels, using both emulated and physical hardware.
  • Develop test plans based on product excellence/test strategy for both system and user levels. Conduct test plan reviews with engineers within one or multiple teams.
  • Utilize or develop automation tools or scripts to improve product and engineering health.
  • Write clear annotated code that can be easily reviewed by peers.
