Job Description

  • Use machine shop equipment i.e. horizontal and vertical saws, deburring wheels and small electric and hand tools
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines and other company equipment
  • Dismantle, clean and reassemble small pumps and other production equipment
  • Read prints to interpret part dimensions and tolerances
  • With limited oversight and based on capability, assemble and wire custom designed and built manufacturing equipment
  • Perform bench work such as filing, de-burring, grinding, and lapping
  • Use measurement tools to ensure accuracy of part: i.e. Vernier calipers, micrometers, indicators, machinist scales, and optical comparator
  • Stock, withdraw and maintain tool crib accuracy
  • Shuttle machined parts to / from adjacent manufacturing building as required
  • Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job
  • Mechanical Skills: ability to lift 50lbs
Education and Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required. Basic PC skills. 2 years experience in machining or related field

  • Follows established practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained
  • Ensures that jobs are completed on schedule following established procedures and schedules
  • Ability to be trained to operate equipment of increased complexity
