The Set-Up Technician utilizes a wide range of equipment, fixtures, gages and hand tools to manufacture medical device products and also maintains all logs, forms and resulting paperwork.Understand the need to deliver quality product and demonstrate a commitment to quality.Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.Follow controlled environment protocols for hygiene and gowning.Maintain regular attendance.Must be able to work flexible hours.Internal Set Up Tech training certificate.Monitor the process of molds running in production, troubleshooting problem processes and assisting in resolving quality issues.Trained to all balloon manufacturing procedures.Improve yields in manufacturing by operating/adjusting.Setup and operate test equipment and machines.Read machine dial gauges, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts.Ensure proper communication is effectively passed on to operators.Promote and enforce a clean, safe and organized work environment.Perform product and process reliability testing and generate appropriate qualification test reports.Post, Count, sort lots and assist operators as needed.Able to follow written and oral instructions well.Able to communicate instructions clearly to others.Other duties as assignedEducation and Experience RequirementsHigh School Diploma and/or GED EquivalentMinimum one year manufacturing experienceSkills and AbilitiesRole: Leads, with operational focus in an area of functional expertise.Responsibility: Accomplishes tasks through direct supervision of nonexempt and entry level exempt employees. Assignments are received in task oriented terms.Scope: Receives pre-determined work assignments with specific instructions. Directs subordinates to achieve assignments using established guidelines, procedures and policies.Complexity: Works on problems of limited scope.
