Housekeeping supervisor, HousekeeperPOSITION SUMMARY:The Housekeeping supervisor is responsible for arranging/ hiring, training and managing housekeeping staff in Hotel, Bar, Banquet, supervises coordinates activities of and floor supervisors. He / She assists in the managing and directing of the daytoday operations of all Housekeeping and laundry functions in Hotel, Bar, Banquet 2 to 5 years of experience on the similar position.Participates in and enforces quality assurance for Housekeeping Department and department cost control measures.Hotel HousekeeperIn addition to general housekeeping tasks the housekeeper duties in a hotel or similar environment will include:clean corridors, lobbies, stairways, elevators and lounges as well as guest roomsorganize work schedule from the room status list, arrivals and departuresdistribute linen, towels and room supplies using wheeled carts or by handrestock room supplies such as drinking glasses, soaps, shampoos, writing supplies, mini barreplace dirty linens with clean itemsinspect and turn mattresses regularlystore all dirty laundry in line with company policymonitor guest laundry bagsreplace laundry bags and slipscheck all appliances in rooms are in working orderrealign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layoutrespond to guest queries and requestsrespond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills, broken glassesdeliver any requested housekeeping items to guest roomsremove room service itemsorganize and restock cart at the end of the shiftensure confidentiality and security of guest roomsfollow all company safety and security proceduresreport any maintenance issues or safety hazardsobserve and report damage of hotel propertyKnowledge and Experiencehigh school diploma or equivalent preferredknowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methodsknowledge of cleaning sensitive materialsworking knowledge of operating cleaning equipmentphysical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend2.
