Coordinate daily tasks with the Sous Chef , Chef De Partie and Head Chef. Be pro-active. Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. followingtraditional and modern recipes as per direction from the Chef. Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation willbe beautiful and exciting Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safetystandards all times. This is always a priority. Maintain HACCP standards. Ability to work and learn from other experienced Chefs. Be a great learner. Have some vision to create and have fun. Creative skills will be very useful. Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage andcost control Periodic cleaning and maintenance of the Kitchen area. Maintain sanctity of the oven,related equipments and small wares. Complying with the daily cleaning rotas. Dedicated and hardworking is an essential skill that is required for this job. Having a bigheart and desire to learn and improve each day is crucial. Assisting with the smooth running of the kitchen production areas Assisting in food preparation and assisting in producing menu ideas Storing away all crockery, cutlery and glassware and handling all with great care Making sure that all kitchen equipment like food mixers, fridges, cookers are in goodworking order. Reporting any fault equipment to senior Chefs. Keeping the storerooms well stocked and always organised. Consult and check on dailyrequirements, functions and last-minute events. Keeping breakages down to a minimum. Carrying out regular quality assurance audits. Accepting food deliveries from suppliersand storing them.
