1. Main Purpose of Position: -Responsible for fabrication of Structures, SS and Aluminum including high precision machiningcomponents for Defense, Hydro, Steam Turbine and other applications.Should have knowledge and experience of various welding practice pertaining to TIG, MIG, SMAW.Should have knowledge of NDT process, ASME, GMAW and GTAW.Responsible for implementation of TQM, TPM, Lean Manufacturing and Productivity improvementmethods.To co ordinate all activities required to direct and control manufacturing quality.Review product quality requirements for individual clients and projects and interact with QA/QC forQAP.Interface with customers and suppliers to ensure consistent quality of product, validation ofprocess, provide necessary documentations and enforcing good manufacturing systems andprocess.Ensure those requirements are understood and implemented to manage the quality ofmanufactured items to meet the requirements of the contract specifications.Aware of ISO systems and its implementations.Ensure that the department is performing against the KPI s set. Report to Senior Management theKPI performance any need for improvements.Control and Maintenance of Fabrication Department Budget and interface with Machine shop Headand Marketing Head.To act as Safety Officer.2. Profile: -Able to communicate all levels within the businessGain support from others through persuasion.Excellent data handling, reporting.Management of performance through KPI s, whilst delivering business efficiency & costimprovements.Drive simplification and standardization of quality Fabrication processes and act as a trainer tobridge the skill gap matrix in the department for Staff and workmen.A good delegator with the ability to build a high capability team, focused to deliver qualityexcellence.3. Responsibility: -Execution plan and it s implementationControl plan.Process Improvement.Training plan.Work instruction.Devising and establishing a companys quality procedures, standards and specifications. Manageand control all quality control activities in accordance with identified Quality Assurance standards,company procedures, client specifications and contract requirements.Reviewing customer requirements and ensuring that they are met.Setting standards for quality, reporting quality and warranty performance.Minimizing warranty levels and costs by proactive intervention.Making sure that manufacturing or production processes meet legal / certification standards.Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff.Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures(QMS).Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.Preparing clear explanatory documents such as customers charters. Acting as the voice of thecustomer & having the final call as to whether quality is acceptable.Maintenance of company certifications, e.g. ISO 9001-2015, ISO 14001: 2015, OHSAS 18001,Aware of good HSE practices.Risk Assessments.Aware of all necessary legal and statutory practices and its implementations.,
