  • Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience in developing software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 3 years of experience building developer tools (e.g., compilers, automated releases, code design and testing, test automation frameworks).
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in a fast moving scope with strict deadlines.
  • Knowledge of how mobile operating systems work, both technically and business-wise, including the cutting edge developments in the mobile industry.
  • Ability to handle new challenges, able to manage multiple contexts in parallel.
  • Ability to travel internationally for collaboration with business partners.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with external partners in the region.
  • Ability to learn new technology and follow industry trends.

  • Lead projects and team members to take on cross-functional problems in the scope.
  • Design technical solutions grounded in high-level business objectives and technical constraints, while also creating solutions to improve the Android developer experience within the Android and Google toolchain.
  • Resolve Android launch blockers in collaboration with the cross-functional teams in Android.
  • Collaborate with Android partners to improve Android module quality beyond Googles own product line.
  • Define quality bars with Android module teams and scale it across the ecosystem.
