Job Description

Technical Program Manager, Manufacturing Test DevelopmentLocation: Taipei, TaiwanExperience Level: MidCompany: GoogleGoogle welcomes people with disabilities.Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a technical field of computer/electrical engineering, industrial design, or manufacturing, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience in NPI and manufacturing.
  • Experience in managing suppliers and partners in implementing test requirements.
Preferred qualifications:
  • MBA or Masters degree in Engineering.
  • Experience implementing or leading transformational projects resulting in improvements of test or manufacturing operations in the area of quality, cost, speed.
  • Experience within a broad range of hardware and test technologies including optical test and manufacturing.
  • Experience with hardware and software test development/automation.
  • Experience in executive communications and presentations.

Youre equally comfortable explaining your teams analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.As a Test Technical Program Manager you will drive manufacturing test processes, tools and procedures behind the products powering Googles Data Centers. You will build parts for our infrastructure alongside ensuring manufacturing test processes are repeatable and controlled. You will collaborate with Design Engineering to determine Googles infrastructure needs and product specifications. Your work ensures the various pieces of Googles infrastructure. Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Googles product portfolio possible.   • Coordinate manufacturing test development activities and dependencies across internal teams and external partners.
  • Manage procurement, budget, schedule, and risk management for manufacturing test development projects and alignment with NPI program schedules, and lead manufacturing test development teams through planning, development, and deployment of test solutions to support volume manufacturing.
  • Drive communication with internal stakeholders and partners for test development status via reviews and dashboards, and work with design engineering teams to manage dependencies for test development.
  • Maintain and co-author technical documentation used for product test plans and test processes.
  • Lead and drive cross-functional and cross-vertical initiatives to drive test process standardization, optimization, or transformation.
