Job Description

: Test Engineer, Pixel Application and User ExperienceLocation: New Taipei, Banqiao District, New Taipei City, TaiwanExperience Level: EarlyAbout the JobAt Google, our philosophy is build it, break it and then rebuild it better. Unlike roles with similar names at other companies, Test Engineers at Google arent manual testers -- you write scripts to automate testing and create tools so developers can test their own code. As a Test Engineer, you navigate Googles massive codebase, identify weak spots and constantly design better and creative ways to break software and identify potential problems. Youll have a huge impact on the quality of Googles growing suite of products and services.The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the worlds most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Googles artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.Responsibilities

  • Define test strategy and develop test plans based on product excellence and test strategy.
  • Conduct testing and quality analysis effectively per extensive knowledge on functionalities.
  • Create or improve test automation, adopt or initiate test tools, infrastructure to increase test effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Participate in reviews through product development lifecycle, communicate the testing results to stakeholders, contribute and influence product design, testability, and product deployment with delightful user experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in coding, developing test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in utilizing/building test automation to scale and improve efficiency.
  • Experience in Android system components, interfaces, and protocols.
  • Knowledge of Mobile App development.
  • Ability to influence and engage with cross-functional teams to shape testing culture and project direction.
  • Ability to manage projects independently.
