Job Responsibilities :.# Create day-wise material movement plan based on the sales plan of the month # Monitor the movements within agreed SLAs with Business and timely deliveries of orders# Initiate and coordinate with concerned agencies for smooth operation of Multimodal movement within minimum cycle time and timely delivery to the final destination# Ensure vehicle placement planning is in-line with material availability at site# Coordinate with site transportation in charge for resolving transporters issues to minimize trailer detention# Coordinate with Business & Regional Offices for detained vehicles# Permit trans-shipments during scant availability of vehicles by ensuring control on freight of the trans-shipping point# Optimize freight operations by exploring back freighting opportunities# Ensure timely claim certification# Decide load priorities to dedicated lanes# Track product / destination specific dedicated vehicles to ensure regular flow for dispatchesJob Description for the position of Officer - Logistics Operations (Packaging) - SCM RCSJob Accountabilities:Working out cost effective, technically sound, packaging methodologies for various FRP profiles and otherfinished goods of plant.Packaging of Profiles as required and approved under guidance/directions of senior team members.Coordinating with respective plants and ensure loading as per monthly/daily plan.Follow up with the carriers for placement of vehicles by interacting with Transport Owners. Co-ordinate withcarriers for timely dispatch from plant and delivery at the destination within agreed transit time.Timely dispatches within agreed SLA with BusinessEnsuring tracking of product / destination specific dedicated vehicles to ensure regular flow for dispatches.Implementing Road safety policies and process as mandated by Management.Ensuring proper usability of the vehicles placed, as per specific requirements viz. flat floor, tarpaulins etc.Optimum and timely loading & stacking of goods on vehicles and documentation for damage free, timelyDeliveryPacking list updation to Sales support team, Invoice generation and vehicle dispatchCompilation of data for generation of MISEnsure vehicle placement planning is in-line with material availability at siteEnsure timely claim certificationDecide load priorities to dedicated lanesTrack product / destination specific dedicated vehicles to ensure regular flow for dispatchesSafety ComplianceTo instruct transporters to bring load worthy and transit worthy vehicles with standard safety norms.Basic Safety training to packaging support team and vendors crew, as required.Monitor VTS data on daily basis and take corrective action.Keep track of vehicle accidents, break downs and transit delays by close interaction with the carriers.Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills):
