Software Test Analyst - Automation India - Baroda Reporting to Test Manager Advanced is expanding and is building great software teams that create products in the Healthcare, Enterprise Resource Planning, and Education markets. We are now in immediate need for talented test analysts who can demonstrate excellent skills for quality assurance and effective testing.About the role As a Test Analyst you will work as part of a small cross- functional team of developers and analysts. You are also part of our wider Testing team implementing the overall test strategy and quality process.In this role you will: Lead testing activities within your team, setting out the test plan and schedule Learn our applications and become expert in testing specific products and components. Ensure the overall test suite is sufficient to ensure a high quality product Work closely with your team to help them get the software right first time Estimate the effort for testing product backlog items in relative or absolute units Define test cases, implement and execute them using manual and automation tools Test for accuracy, suitability, interoperability, usability and accessibility Accurate recording and reporting of software defects and retesting of resolved issues Deliver test reports documenting the results of the testing process Input into product design to improve testability, and the product as a whole. Evaluate and confirm externally reported software failures in production Review and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of testing practice within your team Participate in the quality assurance community of practice, sharing and adopting better techniques and technology Our people deliver excellence in everything they do. As a Test Analyst you have a sharp eye for detail and work well as part of the wider software engineering team to help them deliver reliable and high quality software products.You establish productive working relationships with your team and other colleagues, both technical and non- technical. You enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team to deliver on shared commitments. You are a self- starter and able to plan and manage your own workload. You enjoy working with technologies that are new to you, and taking on additional roles that help the team make progress. You have sound understanding and experience with: Working as a software tester in an agile environment Clarifying detail as the project progresses, working closely with the product and development teams to ensure that the software is right first time. Design and develop test scripts for testing (performance, stress and security testing), including analysis and delivery of results. Internal Communication across all functions and levels in the business as required. Liaise across teams to resolve issues. Identify and escalate critical issues in a timely fashion. Work closely with the product and development team to ensure requirements are always testable and full test coverage is being achieved. Need to work within an Agile team and to continually work towards improvement of the internal processes. You also have 3 years of testing experience. Good verbal and written English communication and presentation skills. An ISEB or ISTQB certification or equivalent would be an advantage.Join the A team!
