Job Description

Position Purpose

  • To engage BGSS employees in regularly undergoing training cum certification programmes (including refresher course cum certification) on dynamic basis required as per Bank s internal guidelines/regulations and various external regulatory (eg. KYC, UCP, FEMA, FEDAI, SEBI etc.) requirement across all verticals of BGSS.

Role Responsibilities

  • Facilitate training syllabus for BGSS (maker, checker, Quality Control and helpdesk team) starting with Book of instructions, Job Card workflow in both operating systems (SWIFT, Finacle, workflow tools used across verticals like DMS, LLPS, TFBO Tool, Insta Tool Baroda Insta etc.), the syllabus should mirror Bank s training requirements covering regulatory cum Bank s Internal Guidelines/circulars and Policy/Procedures (including KYC, Sanctions, AML, TBML etc.).
  • Facilitate understanding of scrutiny management performed by Bank team to BGSS makers checkers and emphasising the importance of deriving customer service through achievement of best FTR and TAT.
  • Facilitate periodic training cum certification programmes to BGSS employees (makers, checkers, Quality Control unit and help desk team members) including in KYC, Sanctions, AML and TBML related requirements.
  • Facilitate training BGSS team members to appear and qualify for various exams under IIBF certification programme.
  • Facilitate complete and in-depth review of all processes across verticals (including checklists) from time to time and advise to implement changes if required.
  • Encourage and train employees to involve in Knowledge Series and Quiz programmes to test efficiency levels of maker/checker/helpdesk on surprise basis.
  • Evaluate and ensure that all the processes are accurate, complete, and compliant in line with latest requirements.
  • Assisting BGSS (especially Customer Owners) in enhancing quality of service delivery relating to various processes (including through digital platform) across verticals and new product launch for business opportunity benchmarking with competition Banks best market practice.
  • Involve getting BGSS Participation in internal projects that improve process efficiency and effectiveness to assist in achieving key strategic objectives.
  • Identifying risks and mitigating the same by making recommendations to BGSS management (especially Quality Control team) regarding process improvements, enhancements etc.
  • Facilitate training Activities (where Checkers will be deployed) to include the following:
    • Checking of Data Entry Quality
    • Checking of Documents as per Checklist

    Job Specific Skills

    • Minimum 15 years of current conventional Banking experience including at least 3 years in relevant training function with a PSB/ Private/ Foreign Banks/ Shared services centre of these Banks and with a minimum graduate qualification.
    • Strong knowledge of KYC / FEMA / FEDAI / RBI / UCP / URC / SWIFT / OFAC guidelines, regulatory Framework, reading credit reports, identifying red flags
    • Train BGSS team members to create SOP s/Job cards / workflows / knowledge series for various processes.
    • Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication cum oratory (teaching) skills.
    • Ability to work in a flexible and production-oriented environment.
    • Must be willing and able to work as part of the team.
    • Strong capability to work in training multiple units - paperless environment.
    • Must be willing to work in strict secured environment.
    • Facilitate training to resolve customer escalation within stipulated timelines

    Educational Qualification

    • Graduate Degree is mandatory. Preferably B.Com/M.Com/ MBA
    • Proven work experience in Banking products, services and operations.
    • Keen understanding and focus on risk, controls, compliance and regulatory framework.
