Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Recommends and ensures key service standards for the hotel Engineering department.
  • Optimizes savings in energy expenses by implementing energy conservation programs.
  • Ensures government regulations for boilers, electrical installation, environmental issues etc., are strictly followed.
  • Monitors HLP consumption on a daily basis and advises Chief Engineer.
  • Prepares Preventive Maintenance shedules and ensures implementation.
  • Monitors R&M expenses on a regular basis.
  • Ensures proper functioning of work request system through desk attendants.
  • Ensures his / her area of operation meets hotel service standards of guests and other departments.
  • Establishes and ensures adherence to key systems and procedures in his / her area.
  • Responsible for implementations of systems and procedures which ensures safety for customers, employees , plant, machinery & property.
  • Encourages development of multi functionality among his subordinates.
  • Uses the Appraisal system to review the performance of direct subordinates and determines their development needs.
  • Ensures department employees are fully trained through constant on-the-job training.
  • Reports to and keeps Chief Engineer informed of all the major operational and staff related issues.
  • Maintains excellent relations and professionalism among all subordinate staff.
  • Stays in contact with staff in the department, managing by example. Communicates, shares information with & inspires all departmental employee using various formal & informal channels.
  • Ensures team work with other departments such as Housekeeping, Kitchen,, for smooth hotel operation
  • Creates a positive work environment for all employees.
  • Maintains a safe and secure environment for customers and employees.
  • Candidate must possess atleast Diploma/ITI/B.Tech.
  • Atleast minimum 3 to 4 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position .
  • Knowledge of Maintenance operations.
  • Should have good communication skills.
