Front End- Senior System Analyst

Job Description

OVERALL RESPONSIBILTY:

The Front End Sr. Systems Analyst will be responsible for the following:

• Managing Emerson Automation Solution Actuation Technologies Business Unit issues, requirements and projects related Front End tool application.

• Serve as the primary liaison for Front End tool functions between Business and Technical Teams. Develop and maintain partnerships with Business, vendors, ACT onsite team to support the enhancement and global delivery of SCM, Manufacturing and Planning solutions.

• Developing and Maintaining the user-facing applications and features using Vue.js/React.js

• Building and supporting the modular and reusable components and front-end libraries for continued business sustenance

• Maintain effective knowledge of Front-End Tool processes, as well as thorough awareness of trends and developments of emerging technologies, evaluating all for viability and benefit to organization.

• Ensure quality delivery of IT projects and smooth transition to production support, including but not limited to, t ranslating existing designs and wireframes into high quality code base.

• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

• Implementing and supporting automated testing integrated into development and maintenance workflows

• Subject Matter Expert for all Front-End tool developments of ACT in the JavaScript and Vue.js space

• Work with the business to understand challenges and weigh strategic considerations. Compare input from various sources to draw insightful conclusions. Employ effective approaches when partnering with third party and internal teams.

• Provide Specify to Procure functional expertise when partnering with business teams to help identify opportunities for improvement - both via process re-engineering and from automation through technology.

• Provide and support Front End Tool as a packaged solution and process expertise when connecting IT and business stakeholders and identifying new IT-enabled solutions. Evaluate packaged solution options against IT roadmap, key requirements, and various constraints.

• Working Knowledge on the following is preferred

  • Oracle Configurator

  • Bills of Material

  • Inventory

• Working Knowledge of order management, advanced pricing and shipping is a plus

• Develop business case documentation along with financial justification and ROI for all initiatives. Partner with IT leadership to establish project approach, timeline, and staffing requirements.

• Ensure development and sign-off of project scope. Adhere to rigorous change management process.

• Deliver against approved project budgets. Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and reconciliation.

• Facilitate design sessions with business. Elicit business requirements and translate into high-level technical requirements, use cases, and user acceptance test plans. Identify gaps against packaged solution configurations.

• Create and maintain PL/SQL functions and procedures as well as Oracle SQL queries and views

• Demonstrate skill when documenting current-state and future-state business process and data flows.

• Lead user acceptance testing and ensure that systems address business needs from users point of view.

• Manage multiple projects to coordinate all aspects of implementation and delivery of tasks necessary for successful project execution.

• Evaluate timing of software version upgrades and facilitate migrations.

• Partner with onshore and offshore IT Production Support teams to ensure stellar customer service and maintain reliability of structured planning. For any noted production issues, validate root cause analysis and drive complete resolution.

EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field

• Highly proficient with Vue.js framework and its core principles such as components, reactivity, and the virtual DOM

• Familiarity with the Vue.js ecosystem, including Vue CLI, Vuex, Vue Router, and Nuxt.js

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model

• Thorough understanding of Vu.js/React.js and its core principles

• Having Experience with popular workflows (such as Flux or Redux)

• Having Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)

• Knowledge of NUXT js OR the isomorphic React is a plus

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs

• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token

• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools

• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.

• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

• A knack for benchmarking and optimization

• Familiarity with code versioning tool

• 8 years of experience in a Techno-Functional Business Analyst or related role desired

• 5 years of experience in IT SCM and Manufacturing is desired

• 2 years of experience in Configure to Order, Order Management, Advanced Pricing and Shipping is needed

• Experience with Project Management techniques leading medium to large size projects is a definite plus.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with project and team resources.

• Ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects involving several departments and external consulting teams.

• Ability to analyze risks, mitigate liabilities, and negotiate solutions.

• Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and work resourcefully with limited supervision.

• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Advanced oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with different functions across Emerson Actuation Business and different levels within the organization.

• Proficient in PL/SQL . Knowledge of Forms, Reports and workflow will be a plus

• Ability to work with teams across global location-email and voice.

• Experience with full Systems Development Life Cycle based on Agile methodology.

• Must be a team player with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Must be flexible, adaptable and the ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment.

• Ability to travel globally

Qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology
