Let s start the conversation.Position Title: Assistant Manager - Warehousing & Outbound LogisticsPosition Summary: Plan, Manage & monitor the companys overall Warehouse operations & Outbound Logistics efficiently by strictly adhering to the Statutory requirements under Customs, State & Central tax with the objective to meet the customers expectation in a timely , cost effective and efficient manner.

  • Managing all the warehouses, issue / receipt & accounting of all transactions.
  • Managing the outbound & distribution of domestic shipments.
  • Managing the packaging standards & optimization.
  • Daily job allocation and monitoring of tasks & duties.
  • Ensure that all customer orders / stock transfer orders are fulfilled within shortest possible timeline and packed to the standard required and dispatch via appropriate carriers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Ensure all store requests / transfers are progress chased to ensure timely arrival into warehouse to enable order fulfillment.
  • Ensures compliance, safety standards and sustainability with company
  • Ensure local commercial law, domestic & international transportation regulations and requirements.
  • Set policies and procedures and also establish SOP s for all the transaction.
  • Ensure continuous process improvements/optimizations and 5S standards are always maintained.
  • Ensure proper RCCA and timely closure of all service & transaction related claims for customers, inter-plant and vendors.
  • Identify and recommend cost reduction opportunities, best practices, elimination of waste and other opportunities to reduce overall costs.
  • Set up a measurement system to measure the service providers performance
  • Coordinate with sourcing and projects
  • Responsible for all audits for the departments.
Competencies
  • Expertise in Customs, GST, Warehouse & Transportation Management
  • Good analysis skill
  • Open minded & willing to cooperate with different functions
  • SAP knowledge/experience
  • Good communication skill
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree with 5 years experience in the field of Logistic
  • MBA preferred
