The team is designed to ensure Amazon remains competitive in the online retail space with the best price, wide selection and good product information. The team s primary role is to create and enhance retail selection on the worldwide Amazon online catalog and reduce defects. The tasks handled by this group have a direct impact on customer buying decisions and online user experience.Roles and responsibilities:An L5 Operations manager is expected to independently own business processes and metrics, establish processes for measuring, tracking, and driving continuous improvements. They Forecast and plan capacity to meet the business needs and drive a culture of quality and process excellence. They also effectively partner and manage stakeholders and build scalable solutions that solve business problems and drive adoption across teams. The Operations manager is also expected to hire, mentor and develop a high performance team, identify and groom top talent, develop leadership principles within the team and continuously raise the bar. In a nutshell: You will be responsible for an Operations team supporting multiple categories, works with vendors to ensure a reliable and operationally effective flow of products, and interact directly with Amazon internal customers across the globe to deliver to their requirements and work directly with the Category team to ensure the overall health of the processes is good. Duties may include, taking part in planning, organizing and directing the work of subordinates or others, outline procedures and instructions on work received, make time estimates on new jobs received, check accuracy / quality of content creation / population done by others, ensuring records are maintained accurately, ensuring utilization of team is high, mentor and train new team members. Work with various internal teams (e.g. supply chain, fulfillment center, system teams) to help drive tools and process improvements that impact reduction of defects. Work closely with internal product and project teams to design scalable and auto-resolution solution. Manage the team of Managers and or strong individual contributors and ensure high service delivery and execution People Management Analyzing Trend. • 2+ years experience in program or project management
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Experience leading process improvements
Education: Engineer or MBA (preferably in Supply chain or operations). Can also have management/Marketing/Accounting/Science degree. Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience (overall) and 8 year experience on managing teams. Relevance: 1. The candidate should have been able to spear-head business programs and Defect reductions (such as volume reduction, supply chain defect reduction, contact reduction etc.); 2. Candidate should have strong knowledge of statistics and preferably a six sigma Black belt. Candidate should have experience in managing global stakeholders. Should be leading a pool of data analyst / Program managers. 3. Manage the team and ensure high service delivery and execution 1. Technical Background preferred knowledge of SQL, Python, Selenium and VBA 2. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills 3. Six sigma black belt level capabilities in deconstructing processes and metrics, to identify areas of opportunity and lead the development and implementation of new processes 4. Strong influencing skills and negotiation skills 5. Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) 6. Supply chain and In-stock Management experience preferred
