Data Processing Solution Architecture LeadData Processing Solution Architect LeadSummaryThe Data Processing Solution Architecture Lead will be part of a highly-skilled team that builds complex data processing solutions. The IHS Markit Automotive data management team designs and develops solutions in Oracle, Hadoop and AWS environments, defines best practices, and provides guidance to other project teams on their solutions.The Data Processing Solution Architecture Lead will be responsible for designing and building complex data processing solutions across multiple platforms. This resource will lead efforts required to identify the best approach such as data analysis, data modeling, and design and to gain approval from governing bodies.Job DutiesSolution Architecture

• Understand current state data processing solutions, business landscape, data processing environments and the data available in various environments.
• Evaluate all data processing options, environments, technologies, and data sets and identify the best design approach.
• Understand impact of various options, execute an objective decision analysis process, select the best option, and document reasoning.
• Identify and document high-level, long-term, and short-term strategies for data processing solutions.
• Decompose the design of data processing solutions, including conceptual, logical, and physical.
• Design data processing solutions that are supportable, flexible, secure, reliable, and efficient.
• Lead and participate in build of solutions using various technologies.
• Guide junior team members on technical project activities, including validation and promotion activities.
• Interface with multiple organizations to understand business problems and current state solutions, to identify and gain approval for technical approaches, and to execute knowledge transfer.
• Identify and document best practices for data storage and processing solutions in the cloud.

Minimum QualificationsTechnical / Knowledge

• Bachelor s degree and 5+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience designing and building complex data processing solutions
• Experience working in Oracle environments
• Highly skilled in PL-SQL, package creation, promotion
• Experience working in AWS, particularly with cloud migration, data processing, and big data solutions including
  • Public, private and hybrid solutions
  • Infrastructure and security
  • S3 data storage
  • Disaster Recovery
  • System monitoring and operational support
  • AWS CLI, AWS APIs, and AWS CloudFormation templates
• Able to analyze data and reach conclusions based on results
