Job Description

What will you do at Ciena The Oracle Technical Analyst will perform system analysis to transform business requirements into analysis and design requirements. Based on this analysis, this position will develop test, and implement configuration or custom solutions for Order Management, Shipping, Inventory, and Purchasing. Candidate should have specific knowledge of WMS, Planning Workbench, OTM-GTM, Oracle Logistics (trips, deliveries). This position will leverage Oracle SME, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Manufacturing knowledge to ensure business requirements are implemented in a manner that achieves the project goals and objectives. Results oriented technical analysis with the aptitude to combine functional Supply Chain with technical skills and knowledge to provide best practice solutions. The person who fills this role may be required to work in night shifts/overlapping hours with Mexico.Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Service Owners, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners in Sprints to configure, create extensions, test, and implement software solutions for the Supply Chain modules of Oracle EBS.
  • Work with our consulting partners on production support operational efficiency for incidents, problem management, and root cause.
  • Work closely with DBA and Application Administration functions
  • Establish priorities with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to assess story point estimates.
  • Partner with vendors to implement best practice industry solutions
  • Maintain an understanding of emerging technologies in Supply Chain functionality to be able to bring transformational ideas and improvements to the business
  • Work within the Agile methodology to deliver solutions in Sprints
  • Keep all documentation and status in Jira.General Activities
  • Design, code, test, and implement solutions for Oracle EBS Supply Chain modules
  • Participate in Agile methodology activities including, product backlog story estimation, Sprint participation, user demo and testing, and Sprint reviews and Retrospect.
  • Develop, integrate, and maintain end-user applications to address areas where customization is required including reports.
  • Research and implement information systems technology where appropriate for the functional departments.
  • Provide applications design, testing, and user documentation for the functional departments.
  • Contribute to incident remediation and incident reduction through root cause analysis where appropriate.
  • Support other necessary applications that compliment Supply Chain functionality and reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned
