    Job Summary: We are looking for highly skilled UI senior developers to work in Ciena s NextGen NMS system i.e BluePlanet MCP. BluePlanet MCP is Ciena s domain controller, automating lifecycle operations of Ciena s packet and optical networks. Based on Microservices architecture, MCP helps network operators to Plan, provision, and turn up multi-layer services quickly using a highly intuitive interface. MCP marks a strategic shift from legacy network management software, enabling the transformation to open, scalable software control that easily integrates into network operators Billing and Operations Support Systems (B/OSS) and Orchestration layers using open REST APIs.Roles and Responsibilities: As a software developer, you would be involved in the following
    • Collaborate in an Agile scrum teams working on the Features for the management and control of Ciena s Optical Devices
    • Understanding of requirements from Product Owners/Architects and breaking them into end to end use cases
    • Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications in MCP
    • Quick Prototyping using newer technologies and open source platforms in Web and NMS domains and Demo s to PLM/PO/Architects and other Design teams
    • Create Automated Test Suites for executing test automation of your features
    • Troubleshooting product issues found in System Integration Testing and Customer deployments.
    Mandatory skills:
    • 5-10 years of Development Experience
    • Expert in Python (3 yrs) and Django web framework (2 yrs)
    • Excellent understanding of Data Structures and Multi-threading concepts, Synchronous/Asynchronous programming patterns
    • Working knowledge of Json
    • Good Experience in MySql/Galera - Cluster deployment
    • Working experience on Docker/Kubernates
    • Working knowledge of Apache Kafka stream processing platform.
    • Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
    • Knowledge of various forms of authentications/ Oauth2 Token/Radius/LDAP/Active Directory/Multi Factor Authentication/Key based etc.
    • Awareness of SSL Certificates and SSL Handshakes
    • Development experience on Linux OS
    • Hands on experience in Performance/Scalability aspects
    • Excellent Problem-Solving skills.
    • Excellent Written and Spoken communications skills.
    Preferred Skills:
    • Exposure to Microservice Architecture based platforms and REST based APIs.
    • Exposure to Elastic Search/Cassandra databases
    • Experience with Agile software development methodologies
    • Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git/Bitbucket
    • Exposure to Teamcity/Postman
    • Prior knowledge of EMS/NMS will be an asset
    Educational Qualification:
    • Bachelors/Masters of Engineering in Computer Science
