Job Description

Sr Product Analysis and Design SpecialistPosition summaryThe ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in business analysis, process modelling, workflow development and communication. The candidate should also possess strong analytical skills to help the team clearly understand the product requirements and deliver thoughtful, timely solutions.Duties & accountabilities

  • Ability to understand tech trends, see how they impact your roadmap, and how they drive innovation.
  • Improved communication with your customers, for example when speaking with CIOs and CTOs.
  • Ability to understand technical challenges and make educated trade-offs with your team.
  • Identify options for potential solutions, including assessment of technical and business suitability
  • Produce and review detailed business and functional requirement specifications from existing systems, previous drafts, and SME interviews
  • Demonstrate the ability to use a broad range of business analysis skills, methodologies and techniques including Gap Analysis, Feasibility studies, Use case modelling, etc
  • Utilise analytical tools to develop workflow, cross functional and process flow diagrams
  • Good client facing skills and the ability to work/communicate with clients to develop and interpret business and technical requirements is essential
  • Technical competency to troubleshoot and understand common problems and communicate to team
  • Able to produce structured design documents
  • Able to work with QA and Development Team to ensure implementation meets design and requirements
  • Represent customers by understanding their needs and product requirements
  • Foster collaboration with product designers, engineers, quality assurance, and marketing to explore, prioritize, and launch solutions
  • Work with the development team to ensure that product requirements are understood and built accordingly
  • Explore competitors products and come up with new ways to improve the company s products
  • Translate product s strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development
  • Outline the product vision, product strategy, and product roadmap
  • Support engineering team to ensure customer satisfaction goals are met
  • Ensure that user story content and prioritization is aligned to the larger strategic objective
  • Recommend the scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and appraising adjustment
Education and experience
  • Bachelor s degree required, advanced degree in Business or Technology preferred
  • Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle
  • Prior background as a developer strongly preferred
  • Experience with latest technology trends such as ML, NLP, no-code, cloud technologies
  • Analytical and well organized
  • Proven ability to work independently.
  • Careful attention to detail
  • Expertise in MS Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint
  • Experience as a business analyst in the financial markets
  • Experience with new software product launch a strong plus
  • A background working with the implementation of US/European regulatory reforms, KYC initiatives, or client onboarding is highly desirable
Commercial awareness
  • Experience working in a Bank or Asset manager as a product specialist is a plus
  • Experience working at a solution vendor servicing FS clients is a plus
