It may not be for every role, and, as part of the recruitment process, you ll have the chance to discuss smart working and how it might work for the job you are applying for.About this roleThe role of a Network Voice Implementation Engineer is to interpret a customer request and then transform that request into a successful project. A successful project is one that meets the customer s requirements, is delivered on time, and has a positive impact on the business of BT. The Implementation Engineer is responsible for all aspects of a project necessary to achieve successful implementation. This includes project management, pre-sales, customer service, solution design, implementation and technical support. The bespoke nature of the customer account requires this role to be filled by very high functioning individual who can independently work to achieve the customer s requirements and perform well in a high pressure environment and interact with both junior and senior client staff in a professional manner. The Voice Implementation Engineers also act as liaisons to engineers in the customer Architecture and Engineering department and have responsibility for change review and approval.Youll have the following responsibilitiesRequirements verification:

• Meeting with Business Clients, Systems Integration, and other IT and business stakeholders to gather technical requirements and under business goals & objectives for projects.
• Ensure all technical requirements have been captured and signed off.

Solution design:Evaluating technology options and presenting those that best suit customer requirements.Produce the technical design in the format specified by Client standards. This requires excellent technical writing skills and proficiency with office automation tools. Many technical designs will be in excess of 100+ pages and integrate various items including Visio Diagrams, Tables, Charts, and links.

• Produce cost estimates from high-level technical design and present the necessary in a professional and concise manner to the customer.

Ensure Compliance with Client s Engineering Standards for Data and Voice Networks.Contribute to solution design and high level cost estimates as part of a team if nature of project is large and involves multiple telecommunication streams.Project ManagementDevelop a High-level plan at project initialization that will guide the project through the requirements and pre-sales stageDevelop a Detailed project plan that will guide the project through the solution design, procurement, and delivery stages.Hold regular meeting with stake holders to track progress and communicate issues, and delegate tasksProvide Project reporting as required by the Client Minimal Grid Guidelines for Complex and Medium Service RequestsProvide Project reporting as required by BT standardsWill be responsible for raising procurement orders related to the project and accountable to oversee the approvals as part of overall ownership for the project s timelines. Update the Networks Book of Work for assigned projectsUpdate the Resource Plan for any project or task for which effort is forecastedImplementation:Determining implementation time frames and risks - Coordinating and gaining consensus on change windows with change management and other IT teams and LBM sSubmission and tracking of Change Management tickets for implementation (Service Now)Coordinating the installation of equipment and connections with Move/Add/Change teamEnsuring that all implementations comply with Engineering s pre- go-live templates as well as post-implementation test plans.Completing the Acceptance into Service (AIS) Process for all projects.Travel to various customer sites within the Asia Pacific region may be required.Other Job Responsibilities:Act as Tier 3 Technical Support for major operational issues or complex technical issues.Provide consultation as a Voice SME on solution design and technical feasibility studies upon request. Provide feedback as a Voice SME and Consultant on audit and compliance related matters and queries.Business Travels maybe expected for project related obligations.Youll have the following skills & experienceThe job holder should have strong skills in networking with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience. The job holder will need a broad skill-set, coupled with the confidence and technical ability to consult at many levels. Specifically the experience should cover the following areas (a formal qualification in electrical, electronic or IT Engineering would be beneficial):Work Experience/BackgroundA minimum of 8 years experience in an Enterprise networking environment with at least 3 years supporting a tier-one global financial organization or similar. Relevant voice platforms and technologies would be:

• Good knowledge of voice networking theory and practical applications (PSTN, ISDN, TDM and SBC)
• Avaya PBX, ACM, AES, and ASM programming
• Cisco Call Manager and IP Telephony
• Microsoft Skype for Business
• Specific knowledge in BT Trading Systems, trading floor private lines, hoot-n-holler systems would be ideal
• Oracle ACME SBCs
• Working knowledge on NICE, Verint, Verba Voice Recording systems
• Working knowledge on Sonus Session Media Gateway (Ribbon Communications)
• Familiar with Service Now for Change Management

Requirements:

• Degree in IT (Networks or Telecommunication preferred)
• Experience in the financial industry preferred
